These PDF instructions will teach you how to add a lightweight exterior pocket to the Maywood Totepack. You'll learn how to give your pocket added structure and adjust the pattern so the bottom of your bag remains durable waxed canvas. This expansion is designed to be used in tandem with the main Maywood Totepack pattern. Helpful signposts will guide your making path, letting you know when it’s time to transition from one set of instructions to the other. 

NOTE: Limited Edition Kits with Warp + Weft Fabric already include these expansion instructions, so no need to purchase separately if making from a kit.

In addition to the standard list of supplies needed to make the Maywood Totepack, you’ll also need:

• 1/2 yard lightweight (4–6 oz) pocket fabric-weight
• 1/2 yard pocket lining fabric (medium weight cotton or twill)
• 1/2 yard Heat n Bond® Iron-on Adhesive
• 1/4 yard waxed canvas pocket extension fabric (should match main exterior bag fabric)
