Bag Making Camp - In-Person

BEGINNER

Learn to make bags in a single day with Klum House founder and pattern designer Ellie Lum in Portland, Oregon.  She'll patiently guide you step-by-step with crystal-clear instructions and make sure you don't get left behind. With her years of teaching experience, you'll gain new skills, develop confidence, and have FINISHED bags at the end of the day!

Make five beginner projects using waxed canvas, leather, and hardware: Woodland Dopp Kit, Portsmith Tote, Fremont Tote, and a leather card holder + pouch. All materials + supplies are included in the cost of the workshop. You will pick from a wide variety of waxed canvas, leather, and hardware colors on the day-of class to design your bags. This day camp is perfect for beginners and experienced stitchers alike. Hurry, as space is limited to only 10 people per day. Results guaranteed!

CLASS DETAILS

This workshop will be held at Sincere Sewing Studio located at 2636 NE Sandy Blvd in Portland, Oregon. In-house sewing machines, as well as all the studio the tools + supplies will be provided. There is a kitchen with a fridge, where you are welcome to store your lunch. There is also a plethora of restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance of the studio. We will also have a selection of beverages and light snacks, which you can help yourself to throughout the day.

MEET THE TEACHER

Klum House founder + pattern designer Ellie Lum has been designing and making bags professionally for over twenty years—and teaching bag making for almost as long. Ellie’s students appreciate her laidback teaching style and crystal clear instruction. She believes in bandaids, curse words, and plentiful snacks. Most of all, she believes in YOU!
