A magnetic snap consists of four pieces: a protruding side, a receiving side, and two metal washers. These magnetic snaps come in two sizes, 14 mm andย 18 mm,ย and are low profile, so they donโ€™t feel bulky on your bag. All you need to install a magnetic snap is something hard, like a metal ruler or bone folder, to bend the metal tabs.
