This is a recording of a live talk that took place on Zoom on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. In this "Ask Me Anything" edition of Lunchtime Live, folks from our maker community tuned in to ask Klum House founder Ellie Lum all kinds of questions of bag making, sewing machines, our products, sourcing materials, and more. Ellie has been a professional bag designer and maker for over twenty years. At age 18, she co-founded a custom messenger bag company called R.E. Load Bags, which she ran for over a decade before pivoting to bag making education (and starting Klum House!). She has lots of valuable knowledge to share!

Pay if Forward
This event was free of charge, but we encourage non-Black folks who are able to “pay it forward” with a donation to Activation Residency, a Black trans led artist residency that provides marginalized artists with space for rest and creativity.
About Lunchtime Live
Lunchtime Live is a series of weekly conversations with Klum House founder Ellie Lum to discuss our favorite subject (bag making!) and answer questions from our maker community. These sessions are free of charge and open to everyone. The idea for this series sprouted out of our desire to create new forms of learning and togetherness during this time of crisis and uncertainty. We envision this series as a container for sharing skills and ideas, gathering confidence and inspiration, and celebrating our shared love of making. View all past and upcoming live events here.
