It has an etched texture for easy-grip and a concave head that preserves the roundness of the top rivet cap, unlike a metal hammer, which tends to flatten it. This tool can be used alone or in conjunction with a metal dot anvil, which has one flat side and one concave side, and can preserve the roundness of the bottom rivet cap.
