My first Klum House pattern, straight forward and clear directions. A great design that makes a classic bag with many uses ! Made 2 out of waxed canvas with a fun airplane print cotton interior for my young grandsons to take on their first flight and Florida vacation. Will be making more for myself and friends

The Woodland pattern was an excellent choice.
As my sewing skills are still evolving it was great to have crystal clear, step-by-step instructions.
Next time I make one I will sew the bag together with a thread that matches the color of the lining.
Overall it was a very successful project that helped me learn and improve my sewing and designing skills.

I really like this pattern, as it is straightforward and easy to follow. The instructions are very clear, it is easy to customize if you choose to do so, and my Dopp Kit turned out absolutely perfect! This is a good beginner project, and makes terrific gifts.

This is a great little project pattern and is very easy to follow. I love Klum House patterns because they are so well written and clear. They also include helpful diagrams and technique hints.

I really like this pattern and for the most part it is a quick and easy sew. As I was using zipper by the yard though, and I’m still beginner-ish, I asked a question about how to adapt the pattern via the website. After over a week I had no answer so asked the question again, but have never received a response. So while I love the pattern I was a bit disappointed in the customer service.

I made my husband a Dopp using the Woodland hardware kit a couple of years ago and decided I needed one too. I couldn’t find the pattern and was pleased I could order a PDF so I could get sewing straight away (USPS is not currently shipping to NZ). The instructions are clear, easy to follow and this would be a great project for a beginner or is a fast and satisfying project for a more experienced sewist.

I didn't have any rivets to set the leather and I don't feel like my Dopp is missing anything because of it. I did add a piece of thin leather to the zipper pull and it's very helpful for the usage.

I was really impressed with the clear instructions and basic information even a beginner sewer/maker could succeed.
The reason I’m giving this 3 stars though is that I was disappointed to learn that the seams on the inside are unfinished/raw and I wish I had known that ahead of time before purchasing the pattern. While you gave tips on how to finish it (ie with a zigzag stitch), it was not the quality construction I was hoping for

It’s hard to find things to sew for men. I made this for my husband for his trip and he loved it! The bag is lighter than most Dopp kits, &nice for travel.
Fun to make & directions are clear and easy to follow.
